East Coast
It looks like there could be waves for the weekend on the east coast but the wind direction is not great. Saturday is showing 2ft waves but the period is between 4 and 6 seconds as the winds are blowing from the south east making for short period onshore waves which will be very weak. Sunday looks to have a better run of waves with the period increasing to 8 seconds meaning that it is more of a ground swell with waves up to 3-4ft in the morning but this looks to fade fairly fast. The winds are still not coming from a great angle for Sunday morning with the south east in the direction meaning onshore conditions until around lunch time when it looks to go southerly which may make for slightly better conditions.
South Coast
On both Saturday and Sunday Tramore will be onshore with the winds up to 25mph plus making for messy weak onshore conditions. Waves should be 2-3ft Saturday and much bigger on Sunday up to 3-5ft but these will be blown over from the onshores.
South West
Garretstown is looking onshore for both days with the waves in the 2-3ft range with Sunday showing more like 3-5ft with onshore winds so this will make for messy conditions on both days. Inch Beach in Kerry is showing moderate to strong offshore conditions on Saturday but this should be less with the land drag with waves in the 3-4ft range with Sunday showing southerly winds and waves in the 4-6ft range making for cross shore bumpy conditions.
West Coast
Saturday in Lahinch is looking to blow cross offshore all day with winds showing to gust up to 25mph plus but this should be less with the land drag but waves will only be in the 1-2ft range for Saturday with Sunday showing bigger 3ft conditions with bigger waves on sets with winds blowing from the south making for cross shore conditions with the tides high at 4pm Saturday and closer to 5pm Sunday but the tides are bigger so leave the full two hours before to exit the water safely.
North West
Strandhill is looking to show no swell for Saturday and only a small 1ft for Sunday with offshore winds on both days. In the Bundoran area it is looking like Tullan only weekend with 1ft waves on Saturday with moderate offshore winds making for super clean tiny waves with Sunday having similar but only slightly bigger at 1-1.5ft with lighter offshore winds.
North Coast
Portrush is also looking small to flat for this weekend with only a small less than 0.5ft swell on Saturday with moderate to strong offshore winds from the south east making for clean but small conditions. Sunday has the primary swell blowing waves out to sea making for small to flat conditions again.
