East Coast
It is looking like a small to flat weekend on the east coast this weekend. Winds are very light so it will still be good for any supping but very little by way of waves.
South Coast
Tramore is looking like it won’t get much above 1ft for Saturday with Sunday looking very flat. Wind on Saturday will be light offshore with Sunday onshore and too small for any surf.
South West
Garrestown is showing 1ft with light offshore winds with up to 2ft conditions on Sunday with light onshore winds but these should be less than 7mph so it should still be light conditions. Inch Beach in Kerry looks like it will be flat on Saturday with light northerly winds. Sunday looks like the conditions are going to be really good for Inch on Sunday with the conditions showing 3ft conditions with bigger sets in between up to 4ft.
West Coast
Saturday is showing northerly swell conditions which are going to make the waves smaller than forecast with light onshore breezes. It is showing 2-3ft waves but realistically this will be probably only 1-2ft max. Sunday looks like it could be really good for Lahinch with a perfect south west swell coming into the bay with good 2-3ft conditions and bigger on sets with light onshore breezes that are so light there should be no impact on the waves. Tides are high at 11am on Saturday and closer to 12 on Sunday but these are only 3.3/3.2m tides which means that they should only be on the rocks for just over an hour so leave only 1-1.5 hours out of the water for safe access and exit.
North West
Conditions in Strandhill are showing 2ft conditions all day on Saturday with the winds are north westerly light onshore but with only 7mph winds so it should still be ok but the 9 second period will mean that it will really only be good for longboards or foamies. Sunday is showing that the swell is coming from the south west which is not great for Strandhill as it prefers more north in the swell so while the period is a good 10-11 second period, it will probably only have 1-2ft of the 2-3ft expected. In the Bundoran area it shows that Saturday should have some nice conditions first thing on Tullan Strand with the winds very light in the morning with waves in the 2-3ft region. The winds turn light onshore after midday but this is still light onshore. Sunday looks more like 2-3ft conditions with light onshore winds all day but the winds are less than 5mph so a little bumpy but still good longboard conditions all day.
North Coast
Conditions are showing barely 1-2ft for the north coast on Saturday for the north coast with Sunday looking small to flat. Winds are barely breezes but the swell just isn’t there.
