East Coast
Both days over the weekend are looking small to flat for any waves with offshore winds on Saturday and light breezes on Sunday.
South Coast
It is looking like it is weak wind swell that is headed for Tramore with strong winds forecast for Friday evening bringing 6 second period 2ft conditions with moderate cross shore winds on Saturday making for small bumpy waves that look to drop even further to 1ft on Sunday with light onshore breezes.
South West
Winds are also the factor in Garretstown with the winds blowing onshore Friday that then turns to cross onshore for both Saturday and Sunday making for bumpy 2-3ft conditions blown over. Inch Beach in Kerry is showing onshore conditions with 3-4ft conditions blown over by the strong onshore winds with Sunday showing much lighter winds but still onshore in direction with 10mph plus winds and waves in the 3ft range.
West Coast
The winds on Saturday are going to be the problem for Lahinch with moderate to strong onshore winds all day Saturday from the West North West making for messy white water conditions all day in the 3-4ft blown over range. Sunday shows smaller 2-3ft conditions with onshore winds from the west south west. Tides are high at 6.30am and pm leaving most of the day free to get in the water bar 2 hours either side of the high tides. Sunday’s high tides are at 7am and pm so again leave 2 hours either side for safe access and exit.
North West
Conditions around Strandhill are also going to be onshore with the winds ranging from 14 to 20mph with waves in the 3ft range blown over with Sunday showing smaller conditions in the 2-3ft range but the winds are a lot lighter only being small breezes but the winds from the day before will mean that it won’t be the cleanest but it should be surfable on longboards or foamies. In the Bundoran area it is looking like Tullan Strand will be 2-3ft Saturday with the onshore winds blowing over the size of the waves with a small window of lighter winds first thing in the morning but not for long. Sunday showing light onshore winds and 2ft conditions but hopefully the winds will only be breezes making for slightly bumpy small waves for foamies or longboards only.
North Coast
Unfortunately it is looking small for flat for all spots on the north coast on both Saturday and Sunday with onshore winds for Saturday and light cross onshore for Sunday.
