East Coast

While it is big and stormy on the west coast, it is looking like the east coast will not get any of the larger swells normally associated with the storms. Instead conditions will be 1-2ft at best Saturday in Wicklow with moderate to strong offshore winds all day. Sunday returns to being small to flat.

South Coast

Conditions in Tramore are looking like there is going to be plenty of swell with waves in the 3-4ft range but the winds are blowing directly onshore for most of the weekend making for smaller appearing conditions and messy waves. Saturday should see 3ft blown onshore conditions with Sunday sees the conditions change to 2ft with the winds turning to blow from the west north west making for cross shore messy conditions.

South West

The winds around Garretstown are going to make for blown out conditions with the gusts hitting up to 40mph direct onshore Saturday making for unsurfable conditions. Sunday sees more of the same but with the swell jumping up with the winds hitting nearly 50mph on the gusts. Inch Beach in Kerry will be maxed out both days so give it a miss.

West Coast

Lahinch is also going to be maxed out both days with no shelter along the coast from the large onshore winds and waves.

North West

Normally I would recommend a spot like Aughris but the winds and the waves are going to be probably bringing larger conditions to Aughris with the west winds offering very little shelter. There could be a wave on Mullaghmore Beach for those who are in the area and super keen but the winds are hitting gale force from the west so there will be very little shelter or enjoyment from the winds. Strandhill, Enniscrone, Streedagh, Tullan, Rossnowlagh etc will all be maxed out from the conditions so give it a miss this weekend.

North Coast

Portrush ended up having periods of good waves last weekend after me forecasting doom and gloom but the waves were not on offer all weekend so would only have suited those who were in the area and able to jump in at a moments notice as they did not last through the tides. This weekend is looking like it is also going to be maxed out with the large storm force conditions bring very little by way of shelter or respite from the winds and large waves with both Saturday and Sunday looking maxed out.

East Coast

Things are looking very small to flat for the weekend on the east coast. Winds are offshore all weekend but no waves for surfing.

South Coast

Tramore is also looking very small for the weekend with the conditions struggling to get above 1ft Saturday and Sunday may get up to 2ft but the period is very low which make for a very small weak wave with light onshore winds on both days.

South West

Conditions in Garretstown are showing 1-2ft for Saturday with onshore winds all day with Sunday looking a little better in the swell but it is also only getting that 5 second wind swell from the 10-25mph onshore winds all day so while it forecasts 2-3ft, I would be thinking that this should be more of the 2ft and weak blown over waves. Inch Beach in Kerry is showing a primary swell coming from the north west which will struggle to get into Inch but it also has north westerly winds making for messy 2-3ft conditions. Sunday sees more of the same but with the winds swinging to be south westerly onshore conditions but the primary swell is still north westerly.

West Coast

Around Lahinch it is again a north west swell which will struggle to get into the bay with 1-2ft and possibly bigger on sets but the north should kill off most of the swell opportunity. Winds are light to moderate onshore from the north west. Sunday is showing more westerly conditions which has a greater chance for waves with 3-4ft conditions but the winds are onshore so this may blow over the waves making it feel more like 2-3ft. Winds are up to 30mph on Sunday. Tides are high at 4.30 Saturday and 5pm Sunday but they are quite large high tides so at least 2 hours out of the water before high to ensure safe exit.

North West

The north west in the swell will actually get directly in to Strandhill but the winds are showing to be westerly also which may cause for cross onshore conditions. Waves should be in the 4-5ft region but with the onshore winds these will probably be messy and blown over but conditions are lightest during the middle of the day. Sunday is showing the winds to be much stronger onshore so expect similar 3-4ft blown onshore conditions with the winds up to 30mph onshore making for messy conditions. In the Bundoran area Tullan will be maxed out with the onshore winds leaving only Rossnowlagh as a safe option for those keen for a white water surf with 2-3ft conditions both days with winds gusting between 20 and 30mph both days onshore so really only for the keen.

North Coast

In the Portrush area the winds will be the killer with the north west winds blowing out all spots leaving no options for surf across West, East or Whiterocks with waves in the 3-4ft blown onshore Saturday and 2-3ft waves Sunday but these will probably be smaller due to the wind strength on Sunday.

A foreword of warning. This weekend sees Storm Darragh come through. It has been upgraded to a Red weather warning for lots of counties around the country. Extreme caution should be taken before going in the water and only those who have experience of surfing storms of this magnitude should venture out and even then I would offer warning. Do not put the lives of the RNLI or others at risk as there are plenty more weekends and plenty more waves in the sea. Even after the storm, there will still be a lot of water moving around and it doesn’t look like the winds die down until Monday bringing some excellent surfing conditions to the west coast for all next week.

East Coast

With the incoming Storm Darragh there will be some strong to very strong wind conditions over the coming days with waves coming from two directions with a small southerly ground swell up to 14 seconds but this is too small for waves but may bring punch to some of the winds swell waves coming down the channel for a change. The waves coming down the channel are going to be coming after the storm with the conditions after the winds have died down to a a still very high 50mph plus so first thing in the morning may be just to dangerous . It should be noted that this is a strong storm and has been classed as a Red Weather warning and care should be exercised if going in the water as the conditions are going to be big and unruly and only very experienced surfers should go in the water. Waves from the north do not offer as much shelter from winds so there will be a lot of water moving around. It may necessitate getting out of the water to reposition as paddling against the current may not be available. Waves could be in the 3-4ft plus range bending into the beach from the north. Waves on Sunday will look like more of the same however it looks like there is more north in the wind meaning that conditions should be a little more cross shore turning onshore later on as the swell drops.

South Coast

Tramore will be blown out on Saturday and Sunday with the winds blowing direct offshore making for dangerous conditions.

South West

Garretstown is looking like it will be maxed out first thing Saturday and the winds don’t look to drop below 50mph cross shore so I would air on the side of caution and suggest giving it a miss. Sunday sees the winds continue with the northerly direction making it cross offshore but the swell is dropping from 3ft to flat later in the day as the winds blow the swell out to sea. Inch Beach in Kerry is a total avoid Saturday and the winds will not make for fun surfing Sunday as the north winds are cross shore with only a small hope of shelter at the north end of the beach under the cliff with 3ft bumpy conditions expected.

West Coast

Lahinch is looking maxed out Saturday so avoid with Sunday showing a swell coming in from the north which will struggle to get into the bay with moderate to strong offshore winds with the best chance for waves early on Sunday but the tide is looking to hamper this with the high not dropping off the rocks until before 12 so it could be too late and the swell too small at that point. Lovely clean waves all week after the storm if you’re in the area!

North West

Strandhill is looking maxed out until well into Sunday as the storm needs time to pass until Sunday evening when the swell calms down but the winds are moderate from the north at all times offering no shelter. Streedagh would have a wave on Sunday after the storm but the north winds will make for messy onshore conditions. In the Bundoran area, everywhere will be maxed out with Sunday offering the best chance of a wave at Rossnowlagh where it will be cross offshore but the winds will be moderate to strong so care should be taken with your board and when crossing the sand. It also looks like the north west will have some excellent conditions all week from Monday onwards.

North Coast

Portrush has had some nice waves Thursday and Friday but it looks like the winds from the north will leave all spots too strong onshore and with big swells making it one to skip.

East Coast

It looks like there will be waves this weekend on the east coast but the winds are not favourable on Friday with the winds blowing from the south east which is going to bring onshore conditions. Saturday should see 1-2ft conditions with moderate to strong winds from the south which will mean cross shore bumpy conditions with a small bit of shelter at the south end of the Wicklow beaches. Winds look to be up to 45mph on the gust on Saturday and up to 30mph on the gusts on Sunday but Sunday sees a little more west in the winds making it a little more offshore but waves will probably only be in the 1-2ft range and weak with the 6 second period.

South Coast

Saturday is looking like a write off with the conditions being strong onshore leaving no shelter anywhere. Sunday looks to have onshore winds all day too but a little lighter than the Saturday but still messy until the evening time when the winds look to drop back a bit but the two plus days of onshore winds will mean the waves will still be messy.

South West

Garretstown is also looking like it is going to have messy conditions all weekend with the winds blowing direct onshore into the bay making for no waves for improvers. Inch Beach in Kerry is looking big and messy all day Saturday with the winds blowing moderate to strong from the south with Sunday seeing the winds turn more onshore making for unsurfable conditions on both days.

West Coast

Lahinch is showing cross shore conditions all day Saturday with the winds blowing 17-30mph from the south making for cross shore bumpy conditions with the waves in the 3-4ft range blown over. Sunday sees the winds turn more onshore making even less favourable conditions. Tides are high at 5pm Saturday and after 5 Sunday so this only rules out the end of the day but with the winds and conditions, it will not matter.

North West

Conditions around Strandhill are showing good on the charts but the winds are up to 30mph+ so I would expect this to bring difficult surfing conditions with the possibility that the waves will be blown away from the land. There is a touch of south in the swell with only a small northerly meaning that it could well be small to flat. Sunday sees more south in the swell turning northerly later but this is when the winds turn onshore so this is only low period wind swell so the only hope is the first light southerly swell but this will be small in the 1-2ft. Around the Bundoran area it is looking like 2ft conditions on Tullan with the winds blowing moderate to strong cross shore making it ok for lessons but hard to find a clean wave anywhere. Sunday sees the period drop back meaning only 1-2ft conditions on Tullan. Rossnowlagh may be too small for waves with the winds being unfavourable even if it gets to 2ft.

North Coast

Portrush is looking small to flat for the weekend with very little incoming swell and moderate to strong offshore winds blowing any chance of swell out to sea.

East Coast

It is looking like there are going to be some sizeable waves coming up the channel with Storm Bert coming through and this looks like it could bring 3-4ft conditions and possibly bigger on tides to the east coast but the main warning is from the winds which are very strong at nearly 60 mph on the gusts which is very strong for the east coast and makes it very hard to hold or control your board with only spots that have shelter in Wicklow hoping to hold out any hope for clean waves or safe surfable conditions. Extreme care should be exercised before going in the water as the winds will also mean that the currents will be very strong meaning that you could be swept up the beach quite quickly. Sunday looks to see the winds drop a good bit and could be a little safer for Wicklow with 2ft conditions with possibly bigger in the morning with a little more west in the winds which could make for slightly cleaner conditions but care should still be taken.

South Coast

Tramore will be maxed out with strong winds and waves for the beach making for unsurfable conditions.

South West

Garretstown will also see conditions max out the bay with strong onshore conditions for the weekend. Inch Beach in Kerry will also be unsurfable with the waves and conditions making it dangerous to enter the water.

West Coast

Lahinch Beach will also be another spot that will be maxed out with onshore conditions making it unsurfable with Storm Bert to blame.

North West

With the amount of south west in the swell, this will mean that the spots along the north west will not receive enough swell on Saturday for anything over 1-2ft with the winds moderate to strong offshore for the north facing spots. Tullan Strand will be small and blown out. Sunday sees a good swell return but the winds do not look to fade meaning that conditions will be blown around everywhere. Streedagh could have a small wave but the winds will make it no fun at the south end. On Sunday Rossnowlagh will be the only spot working as the winds will mean too much water moving around at Tullan and Rossnowlagh will be walls of white water.

North Coast

Around Portrush it looks to be the winds coming off the east coast are driving the waves away from Portrush making for very small to flat conditions with strong offshore winds. Sunday looks like it could have 1-2ft conditions with cross shore winds for the likes of West Strand and possibly only 1ft at East Strand with moderate to strong offshore.

A word of warning that storms can swing around and change direction which could make for conditions to change and bring more dangerous conditions to locations but also cause conditions to change while you are in the water so extreme care should be exercised and there will always be more waves so skipping a session to surf safely another day is not frowned upon. Utmost respect must be shown to the conditions on the day as you do not want to be calling out the RNLI or putting others at risk in rescuing you during dangerous conditions.

East Coast

Conditions are looking very small to flat for the weekend on the east coast with no swell coming into Wicklow. Winds are moderate cross offshore for the weekend from the north west but no waves unfortunately.

South Coast

Tramore is also looking small to flat for the weekend with Saturday barely breaking 1ft with very light winds from the west. On Sunday the waves are smaller again with winds more cross offshore from the north west.

South West

Waves in Garretstown are also looking small for the weekend with small period conditions Saturday that will struggle to break up to 1ft with Sunday having a better chance with the swell a similar size but with a better period it could have a great chance of waves but these will probably only allow for lessons or kids at 1ft. Inch Beach in Kerry has a swell coming from the north west which normally loses size due to the shape of the bay restricting access from north west swells but the periods forecast are showing up to 15-17 seconds which could allow for some of that swell to bend into the bay. It’s forecast at 4-6ft but this will probably look more like 2-4ft but with the winds blowing from the north west also, there could be some onshore chop to the conditions. The north west winds remain consistent all day with the swell building all day. There could be a small bit of shelter on the north side of the beach from the hill. Sunday sees similar winds from the north west with the swells dropping down in period back to 12 seconds which could drop the waves down to around the 2ft mark or smaller as the swell has a lot of north in the direction.

West Coast

Saturday sees the big periods that we saw down the south west hit Lahinch with smaller swell forecast but the period could see 2-3ft conditions and possibly bigger. With the bigger period there is the possibility of driving up and seeing things very flat and then the waves could come out of nowhere so allow a small waiting period if you are checking the surf. With bigger periods can come nice dry paddle outs and then some large waves come through followed by nothing. There is a small secondary swell but this will not bring anything above 1ft. Winds are blowing from the north west with 12-15mph onshore conditions. Sunday sees the winds continue but drop back in strength to around 10mph onshore from the north west. The period drops to 11-12 seconds with the waves dropping back to around the 2ft mark. With the bigger periods there could be bigger waves on sets. Tides are high at 5.30pm Saturday so out of the after around the 3.30pm mark with Sunday’s high not being until 6pm so out of the water around 4pm and it will be getting darker after 4 anyway.

North West

Conditions are looking like they will be maxed out on Saturday and Sunday in Strandhill and it could leave a lot of the spots on the north maxed out. Aughris could have a wave on both Saturday and Sunday but the winds are blowing from the north west which will leave little shelter. Spots like Streedagh could have some large waves Saturday that could make for dangerous conditions with Sunday possibly looking better for Streedagh but the winds are going to be onshore so not that great. Tullan will be maxed out for Saturday and most likely will have too much water moving around Sunday with Rossnowlagh the only option on both days with the winds blowing cross onshore all day both days.

North Coast

Portrush is looking like it is going to have some very large swell coming through on both Saturday and Sunday with some strong onshore winds so I would recommend giving the water a miss. The only option for shelter will be at the north end of West Strand by the Babushka cafe where there might be a bit of shelter from the north west winds under the shelter of the harbour wall but care should be taken entering the water unless you have experience of the conditions.

East Coast

Conditions on the east coast are looking small to flat for the weekend with no incoming swell with moderate southerly winds on Saturday and light onshore winds for Sunday.

South Coast

Tramore is looking like the southerly winds forecast for the east coast will be the ruin of the waves but in truth, the waves are too small for any improver surfing. Sunday however is looking like the conditions could be nice for the longboard with the waves showing 2ft conditions with bigger on sets and tides with the winds barely registering a breeze. The waves will not be 100% clean as the winds are not offshore and there will be a little hangover bump from the onshores on Saturday but small relatively clean waves with a good 10 second period.

South West

Garretstown is showing similar onshore conditions for Saturday with the waves being small in the 2ft region but with the onshore winds, these may be blown over. Sunday looks like a much better day with the waves showing a great direction with 3ft conditions with possibly bigger on sets with light onshore breezes which will barely effect the waves. Inch Beach in Kerry looks a little blustery on Saturday with the winds coming from the south south east meaning slightly offshore but more cross shore with waves in the 1-2ft range. Sunday looks a little better with 3-4ft conditions and very light winds first thing but picking up a little later on but there could be some good shelter in by the cliff as the winds turn to blow from the north but I suspect that the winds will be much lighter than forecast which could make for a good days surfing.

West Coast

Conditions around Lahinch look small for Saturday with 1-2ft conditions in the main with the winds blowing offshore from the south east with a touch of cross shore. The main winds look light with moderate gusts. Sunday sees much better conditions with 3-4ft conditions and a good 10 second period making for solid waves with winds only registering as breezes which could make for a really nice day in Lahinch. Tides are high after 10am Saturday and 11.30am Sunday so leave 2 hours either side of high for safe access and exit from the water.

North Coast

Strandhill is showing small but direct conditions for Saturday in the 1-2ft range with light offshore winds all day. Sunday sees the waves pick up a little but the swell angle is more westerly which may struggle to get into Strandhill and may still only leave 1-2ft even with the better period with light onshore winds all day but these will only be less than 10mph so barely breezes. In the Bundoran area it is looking like a Tullan Strand weekend with Saturday showing 1-2ft at best from a west north westerly swell which will be small enough with offshore winds. Sunday is showing a little better at 2-3ft with a good 10-12 second period. The only issue over the weekend is the Irish Surf Nationals are being held this weekend which may mean that the main peak on Tullan will be reserved for the competition so it will only leave the smaller peaks further down the beach.

North Coast

Portrush is looking small on Saturday with 1ft waves on offer for the likes of East Strand with offshore winds. Sunday looks to be small to flat with onshore winds all day.

Both Saturday and Sunday look like the incoming swell is too small for any waves this weekend. Winds are very light and good SUP conditions around Wicklow.

South Coast

Saturday looks like it is going to be flat in Tramore with no swell. Sunday has a small chance of 1-2ft but this is more than likely just 1ft breaking right on the shore. Winds are light cross onshore all weekend.

South West

Garretstown is not looking like it will get above the 2ft mark with 1-2ft being the best forecast with light offshore winds all weekend. Longboard and Foamie conditions only. Inch Beach in Kerry is showing a nice perfect angle for swell to get into the bay with 2ft conditions forecast for both Saturday and Sunday with winds looking like cross offshore all weekend with the best waves on Saturday due to the bigger swell size and period.

West Coast

Lahinch is showing some really nice conditions this weekend with 2-3ft conditions for Saturday with the winds barely registering and only barely blowing a breeze and offshore at that too. Perfectly clean conditions favouring bigger craft but probably still working for groveller boards. Sunday drops back a little in the swell size so 1-2ft but probably more 2ft across the tides with the winds remaining light offshore all weekend. Sunday will probably favour longboards and Foamies but should still be fun. Tides are high at the start and end of the day leaving the maximum amount of time in the water with 5.30am and pm high Saturday and after 6am and pm so cut the afternoon session a little short to be out of the water by 3.30 Saturday and 4 Sunday.

North West

Strandhill is looking small for Saturday with the swell having a near perfect west which will struggle to get the full size in with 2ft forecast for Saturday and more like 1ft Sunday with perfect light offshore breezes on both days. In the Bundoran area it is looking like a Tullan weekend only with Saturday showing 2ft conditions with slightly bigger on peak one in by the cliffs with Sunday barely breaking over 1ft and light offshore breezes both days.

North Coast

They have had a lovely run of waves on the north coast this past week with Saturday looking to be a little smaller as the period drops to 8 seconds meaning 1-2ft conditions for Saturday with light offshore breezes with Sunday droppping back to small to flat and light offshore winds all day.

East Coast

The surf on the east coast is looking marginal for this weekend with the swell forecast to come up the channel barely big enough to produce waves with Saturday showing 1ft with an onshore wind all day making for messy conditions. Sunday is showing a little better but still only just over 1ft with southerly winds all day and Monday being too small for any waves with offshore winds for the day.

South Coast

Tramore is looking like there is going to be a good swell forecast for Saturday with waves in the 3-4ft range with bigger sets but the winds are light to moderate onshore for the day dropping to nothing at times. Sunday then starts off much smaller at 1-2ft with an offshore light breeze but this then turns onshore for the remainder of the day and stays onshore gusting up to 15mph. Monday looks to be the good mix of small 2ft waves with light breezes less than 10mph making for nice conditions if the winds don’t mess it up too much the day before.

South West

Garretstown has swell coming from the south east which will bend in nicely and bring 2-3ft conditions with offshore winds. Sunday sees the periods increase but the swells drop making for 1ft for the day but the winds turn onshore so it could be the day to rest. Monday then comes to smaller periods and this could be off the back of the onshore conditions Saturday with the winds turning offshore in the middle of the day and staying cross offshore meaning it could have offshore 2ft conditions. Inch Beach in Kerry looks to start off with nice 2-3ft conditions on Saturday morning and it’s forecast for bigger but it’s got some north in it which may restrict the amount of swell getting in. Winds really pick up in the evening on Saturday before Sunday turns messy onshore with a large north west swell coming in bringing waves but the onshore winds will mess this up. Monday looks to stay onshore so Saturday early might be the only shout.

West Coast

It is looking like the swell that has the touch of north in it is a feature in Lahinch also with the winds being light offshore first thing in the morning before the winds pick up later in the day and turn cross onshore. Sunday sees the winds blow direct onshore all day with large swells from the north and while the north swell doesn’t always bend into Lahinch greatly, the onshore winds will make for 2-3ft blown onshore. Monday sees a swell with a touch of north in it making for slightly better conditions but the winds are blowing westerly all day making for light to moderate onshore conditions. Tides are high at 1pm Saturday 1.30 Sunday and 2.30 Monday with the clocks going back making the little difference. The tides are not massive so 1.5 hours either side should cover for those keen for waves.

North West

Conditions in the north west are looking like Strandhill should see 3-4ft conditions starting out on Saturday with the winds blowing light to moderate from the south making for slightly cross offshore conditions with the winds turning onshore by evening. Sunday sees more of the same in relation to winds and directions but the beach will be maxed out for waves with the large swell forecast and period. This may mean that Aughris could be the spot with good swells bending into the beach with the good 13 second period. Monday sees the conditions make for Streedagh to possibly have a small offshore wind in front of the car park on Monday. Tullan could have nice conditions on Saturday with a little shelter in by the cliff and will probably be maxed on Sunday with the best conditions of the weekend at Rossnowlagh on Monday with the light winds 2-3ft waves possibly bigger on sets with the 12 second period.

North Coast

In the Portrush area it is looking like 2-3ft conditions on East Strand with the winds blowing from the south making for offshore conditions that could be strong at times. Sunday sees the swell really jump and it could be chunky with East Strand seeing up to 6ft plus conditions with the winds gusting up to 40mph offshore but hopefully there should be land drag which may reduce the winds a little. Monday is still looking big but not as big as the Sunday with really light winds making it the day of the weekend with some really nice conditions for East Strand.

East Coast

Saturday is looking like the conditions are going to be small with waves too small for catching but this all changes for Sunday with the conditions taking a serious jump especially first thing in the morning with the waves showing 4ft plus conditions in Wicklow with very strong winds from the south. These winds are in the dangerous strength and should only be ventured out in if you are an experienced surfer. Later in the day the gusts have dropped by nearly 20 mph making for only slightly safer conditions but the south end of the beach should have the most shelter especially nearer high tide. The swell is all driven by the winds as seen by the 8 second period all day. Extreme care should be taken and please seek the advices of the local surf school if unsure. The waves will have a cross offshore bump but should be clean for the most part.

South Coast

Tramore looks to start off with some really nice conditions first thing Saturday morning with 2-3ft conditions with the winds only showing light breezes for most of the day. The direction is slight onshore but this should not have much bearing on the waves. By Saturday evening the winds have picked up and this will have more of a bearing on the waves with onshore bumpy conditions turning messy. Sunday maxes out with both winds and waves turning unsurfable so make the most of Saturday.

South West

Garretstown looks to start off looking really nice on Saturday morning but the winds kick in soon after turning things messy earlier so it’s a dawnie surf for best conditions. As the winds turn onshore the conditions will get messy but first thing should have 4-5ft conditions with bigger sets, so again this is only for surfers comfortable in waves of this size and power. Sunday turns to the worst and should be avoided. Inch Beach in Kerry is maxed out for Saturday and Sunday and should be avoided.

West Coast

Lahinch is also looking like it is maxed out for the weekend with no conditions for improvers with moderate to strong onshore winds on both days.

North West

While the charts are showing spots like Strandhill and Enniscrone to be good due to the swell direction and opposing wind direction, the wave heights should leave them maxed out with very few spots surfable. The major factor on the north west is the really large period which will make for large gaps showing apparent safety to paddle out but this will be met with large income sets that could light up the horizon. Even spots like Streedagh that take a larger swell to get going will appear safe but could then light up with large looming sets due to the 15 second period. Mullaghmore Beach could have a clean wave on Saturday and with the wind direction and beach direction could lead to ok conditions. The Intercounties due to be held in Rossnowlagh could be for the brave as the swell as the waves could be up to 6ft and bigger on the sets with the winds heading up into the beach but this doesn’t seem to bother Rossnowlagh too much. The paddle out for Dara O’Malley could be moved to Creevey Pier for the safety of the participants. Sunday sees the winds kick up to nearly 50 mph with nowhere safe so have a day of rest.

North Coast

Conditions in Portrush have been nice these last few evenings, correctly predicted by Andy from Troggs and it looks to continue into the weekend with Saturday showing what looks like 2-3ft but should end up much bigger on the sets due to the large period, so expect big gaps between the sets and then large waves coming through hitting 6ft plus with nice offshore winds favouring East Strand mostly but also being offshore for Whiterocks. Sunday sees the winds go to strong offshore making for 2ft conditions but the winds will make it very hard to control the board or even get into the waves so I would recommend giving it a miss.
