Surf Report for the weekend of the 5th and 6th of April

East Coast

Winds are blowing from the north east this weekend for the east coast which could bring 1-2ft weak onshore wind swell. This will be weak 6 second period waves which will really only suit kids or lessons. Sunday sees the winds back off with no waves and light variable winds less than 10pm so could be ok for some SUPing.

South Coast

Tramore is looking small to flat for the weekend with the conditions barely breaking overact with moderate cross offshore winds from the East North East. Sunday is showing 1-2ft conditions with winds blowing cross shore from the east which will make for bumpy conditions.

South West

Garretstown is looking small for Saturday as the main swell is coming from the south with the winds are blowing moderate to strong from the north east which is offshore for Garretstown but just a little too strong. Sunday has a good 11 second period swell coming through which should bring 2ft waves with the winds blowing cross offshore from the east up to 20mph. Inch Beach in Kerry is looking marginal with barely enough swell to get a wave going with 1ft at best and moderate offshore winds. Sunday in Inch has a swell with a touch of north in it which could bring 1-2ft with cross offshore winds from the south east.

West Coast

Lahinch this weekend is looking small to flat for Saturday with offshore winds all day leaving not much in the way for improvers. If you are keen then you might catch something on a longboard or Foamie with good arms. The tide is high at 11.30so 2 hours either side. Sunday sees the swell jump a little but with a touch of north in it which will drop out the increase in swell size and probably have 1-2ft conditions for most of the day with offshore winds all day. High tide is not until nearer 1 so if you can get a session in the morning before 11 then the period is 13 seconds which may have more of the 2ft waves than 1ft with a small drop after the high tide after 3pm only having 1-2ft waves.

North West

Strandhill is looking like it will also only get 1-2ft on Saturday with light to moderate offshore winds. Sunday sees a bit of a bump with the winds staying offshore and the waves in the 2-3ft range and best in the morning when the period is 13 seconds but this drops to 12 later on and the swell drops a small bit too. In the Bundoran area, it is going to be a Tullan Strand weekend with 1-2ft waves on Saturday all day with moderate offshore winds followed by 2-3ft waves for Tullan on Sunday with moderate offshore winds all day until evening.

North Coast

The primary swell for Portrush at the weekend is coming from the north east off the back of the easterly winds blowing up to 20mph. This won’t bring any waves to West Strand where the winds would be nice and offshore and will only bring cross shores to East or Whiterocks with 1-2ft waves at best. Sunday drops a little on the easterly swell as the winds back off and a small 1ft swell from the north could bring 1-2ft waves for East Strand but the winds are still going to be cross shore and a little bumpy.

Surf Report for the weekend of the 29th & 30th of March

East Coast

Conditions for Saturday on the east coast show a small wave coming up the channel from the pushing southerly winds which should see 1ft waves on Saturday building to 1-2ft by the evening but this is driven by those southerly winds which look to hit up to 30th on the gusts. Sunday looks to have flat conditions with light breezes only.

South Coast

Tramore is showing conditions that are looking onshore and mushy for Saturday with 1-2ft waves owing to the poor 5 second period with winds blowing direct onshore all day. Sunday sees the winds drop but the waves are still only coming in at 6 seconds meaning 1ft waves with 2ft at best.

South West

Saturday sees onshore conditions for Garretstown with a decent 16 second period on a secondary swell but it is tiny and the main swell is only running at 5 seconds so 2ft conditions at best with onshore winds all day Saturday up to 25mph. Sunday has much better conditions with 2-3ft waves with a good 10 second period and only light breezes less than 10mph. Inch Beach in Kerry looks to have nice 4-5ft waves but the winds on Saturday are going to mess with those conditions as the winds are direct onshore meaning it will probably be smaller with the waves blown over. Sunday sees the swell continue with 5-6ft conditions with winds coming cross onshore making for messy conditions but still surfable for those keen.

West Coast

Saturday morning is looking like it could have some moderate southerly winds that will blow cross offshore for Lahinch but this swings more westerly around midday so get on it early with 4ft conditions early on dropping to 3-4ft later on. Sunday sees the winds go lighter but they remain onshore making for 2ft conditions as the swell is coming from the north which while it is bigger will struggle to get into Lahinch. Tides are high on Saturday at 5pm with nearly a 5m high so out of the water by 2.30 and then Sunday’s high is at nearly 7pm with the addition of the hour from the clocks changing so out of the water by 4.30.

North West

Strandhill is looking to get a good 12 second period pulse all day on Saturday meaning that it will probably max out the bay but spots like Streedagh could have some nice conditions as the winds are blowing from the south. The winds are a little gusty with the gusts blowing up to 35mph but mostly offshore for that south end of Streedagh beach. Sunday looks to be a good shout for the likes of Streedagh or Rossnowlagh as the winds are onshore but light but still too big for Strandhill and the surrounding spots with the wind direction just too westerly but there could be waves in Enniscrone for those keen on Saturday or Sunday. Tullan Strand will be maxed out for both Saturday and Sunday with just too much water moving around.

North Coast

The southerly winds could have some nice offshore conditions for East Strand and Whiterocks but the swell is a little on the chunky side which could bring 6ft plus conditions in the morning dropping back a little later on as the day goes on. The winds do look to blow quite hard up to 30mph plus but this could be lighter with the land drag. Sunday sees the swell start bigger again and drop but only slightly, so starting off at 6ft plus but staying around the 4-6ft range then for the day but the main issue on Sunday is the winds blowing from the north west which will only see a small bit of shelter at East Strand for those keen but the onshore winds will also make the wave more bumpy and crumbly.

Surf Report for the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of March

East Coast

Waves on the east coast are looking like they won’t get much above 1ft for the weekend with a 1-2ft forecast meaning only waves for kids or lessons on both Saturday and Sunday.

South Coast

On Saturday in Tramore waves are showing in the 2-4ft range with the possibility of bigger sets earlier in the day when the periods are bigger. Winds are offshore for the day meaning clean waves but the gusts look to pick up quite strong which could be a challenge for longboards or bigger boards. Sunday sees the winds stay offshore all day but the winds could be blowing that swell out to sea as the swell drops to 1ft meaning waves will be smaller again.

South West

Garretstown looks like it starts on Saturday that could see 3-4ft conditions first thing with a good 12 second period dropping down a little throughout the day to 2-3ft waves later in the day. Winds are moderate to strong offshore for the day on Saturday and Sunday. The waves on Sunday drop right back to 1-2ft max. Inch Beach in Kerry is maxed out for Saturday and Sunday sees 4-6ft conditions from a swell bending in from the north west and the winds are blowing moderate to strong from the north meaning messy conditions. The winds mean that conditions could be messy on the north side of the peninsula also.

West Coast

Conditions in Lahinch are also coming off the north west swell which could mean that the conditions will be a lot smaller than forecast as they have to bend into Lahinch where there is a lot of shelter from the north. The Forecast shows 8-12ft but realistically this could be more like 3-4ft with a good 14 second period meaning bigger sets in between. This drops later in the day and could see it get smaller. Winds are from the north which means cold cross shore conditions up to 20mph so bumpy waves at best. Sunday sees the swell nearly halve in size from the Saturday meaning 1-3ft but probably more of the smaller conditions with the cold winds still blowing moderate from the north. Tides are high at 10.30 on Saturday and closer to 12 Sunday but the tides are small meaning only an hour of the water either side for safe access and exit.

North West

Strandhill will be maxed out Saturday with the swell meaning only Aughris might have a wave but the bad news is that nowhere has shelter from a northerly wind meaning messy onshore conditions for the northwest. Streedagh would have a 3-4ft wave but the northerly winds are not going to make for nice conditions anywhere. Sunday sees the swell drop back to more manageable conditions but the winds never let up meaning cold messy conditions. Rossnowlagh is the only spot that can handle a little north in the winds but this will still be big and messy 4-5ft Saturday with cross onshore conditions and Sunday sees it more small 2-3ft and messy with the cross shore conditions.

North Coast

The northwest winds forecast for late morning in East Strand and Whiterocks mean messy conditions for both spots with waves blown onshore 4-5ft Saturday with Sunday seeing the winds totally mess up the swell with only 7 second winds swell bringing 2-3ft blown over conditions to all spots. There might be some chance of shelter behind the south pier near babushka on West Strand offering something out of the winds but probably only waves Saturday.

Surf Report for the St Patricks Weekend

East Coast

Both Saturday and Sunday are looking like it will be small to flat with a small wind swell coming from the east on Monday which should bring 1-2ft wind swell weak waves that should only be good for beginners or kids with onshore winds.

South Coast

Tramore is also showing small to flat for Saturday and Sunday with the first signs of waves coming on Monday from that Easterly wind that looks to bring a choppy 1-2ft wave with possibly bigger interim waves from a small southerly 18 second swell coming on a secondary push but 2ft will probably be the max with the predominant swell coming from the winds. The cross shore winds will make for bumpy conditions too.

South West

Garretstown has a different swell coming through from the west that is looking to bring 1-2ft at 13 seconds which could bring waves up to 2ft on sets with light offshore winds from the north and north east. Sunday looks to drop back and only bring small to flat conditions with light offshore winds. Monday sees the return of waves but only small conditions with 1-2ft on track but the winds on Monday are the problem with moderate 21-30mph winds from the east making for bumpy conditions. Inch Beach in Kerry is showing a nice small swell with offshore winds on Saturday bringing 2ft waves that should be good for longboards with 10mph offshore winds from the east north east. Sunday sees the conditions too small to bring waves to Inch with offshore winds from the east. Monday brings a larger period 17 second swell but only 1.8ft with moderate to strong offshore winds which may be a little lighter with possible land drag.

West Coast

Lahinch is looking like it could have waves up to 2ft on Saturday with nice light offshore winds from the north east making for glassy clean small waves with a bit of push from the 11 second period. Sunday looks to drop back in both swell size and period meaning only 1-2ft conditions but the light offshore winds remain. Monday has more of the same with only 1ft forecast with the possibility of bigger on sets from the 17 second period in the middle of the day but the winds are a good bit stronger in the 18-25mph range which may make it difficult to catch the small waves on larger craft. Tides are high at 6am & pm Saturday, 6.15am & 6.30pm Sunday and 7am & pm Monday so leave at least 2 hours after and before to safely enter and exit the water.

North West

Strandhill is showing some really nice conditions for Saturday with a nice pulse of north westerly swell that will make it right into the bay with 3ft waves and north east light winds. Sunday sees this drop back a little to 1-2ft conditions with light breezes from the north west for the day and Monday brings much smaller conditions with moderate offshore winds from the east south east. In the Bundoran area it is really only a Tullan Strand weekend with 2ft conditions Saturday from the north west meaning some lines hitting the cliff with refraction waves all day and light offshore winds from the north west. Sunday drops back to 1-2ft max with light breezes and Monday drops even further where it will struggle to break over 1ft with weak waves and offshore winds less than 10mph.

North Coast

It is looking small on Saturday at East Strand with 1ft waves at most with light onshore winds from the north. Sunday sees smaller again with waves struggling to hit 1ft and Monday drops back further with small to flat conditions and moderate offshore winds for West Strand.

Surf Report for the weekend of the 8th and 9th of March

East Coast

This weekend on the east coast is looking like there will be 1-2ft waves but these are driven by the 20-30mph onshore winds pushing up a weak 5 second swell which will only really push waves for beginners on foamies or kids. Sunday sees similar conditions again but this time with the winds coming from the East North East which while onshore drops back to light onshore less than 10mph later in the day but still only around the 1-2ft range.

South Coast

Conditions in Tramore are looking cross onshore for Saturday with the winds blowing 20-30mph from the East South East making for bumpy messy conditions with the waves in the 3-4ft range blown over. Sunday shows much cleaner conditions with the winds swinging to blow from the north east making for offshore conditions but there will still be a bump on the waves from the previous days onshore winds. Waves should be in the 3ft range as the swell direction changes from south in the morning to south east in the afternoon which could bring bigger sets.

South West

Garretstown is looking like it has a small direct swell coming in from the south west of around 2-3ft boosted by a secondary swell from the south swell of up to 5ft and a tertiary swell from the winds coming from the south east meaning three different swells coming into the beach meaning that there could be regular 2-3ft sets with bigger sets coming in from the other swells. Winds are cross shore on Saturday and 20-30mph meaning quite bumpy windy conditions with Sunday bringing a swing in the winds to offshore with a regular wind of 15mph gusting to nearly 30 so big sprays of offshore waves with 3-4ft waves from a southerly swell. Inch Beach in Kerry is showing some perfect offshore winds from the east making for nice winds, if a little gusty but you would hope with the land drag that these offshore winds might be a little lighter. Waves should be in the 3-4ft range with the chance of bigger waves in the morning on the 12 second period. This could also bring nice waves to the north side of the peninsula with size depending on angle to the west.

West Coast

Lahinch is looking like it could have a really nice weekend with offshore winds all weekend with some strong gusts but hopefully the land drag will slow these gusts down but they are offshore. Waves on Saturday should be in the 3-4ft range in the morning with 2-3ft for the remainder of the day with the possibility of a little bigger with the 11 second period giving a little more push to the waves. Sunday sees it drop back a little but should still be hitting the 2-3ft range depending on tides. Tides are high in the middle of the day around 12.30 but the difference between high and low being very little so it will be a slow moving tide meaning that you can probably surf right through the tide if you are out the back. If you are unsure of the ease of access or exit, leave 1-1.5 hours either side of high to allow for safe exit. On Sunday the high is before 2pm so leave 1-1.5 hours out of the water for safe access and exit.

North West

Strandhill is showing some nice small 2ft conditions for most of the day with the possibility of bigger sets in the morning and the lightest winds are first thing in the morning but they are offshore all day but gusting up to over 20mph later in the day so best to get on it earlier to make for nice clean waves. Sunday sees the swell jump a little with 3ft conditions forecast and light winds from the east bringing perfect light winds offshore all day. In the Bundoran area it should have really good Tullan Strand conditions with 2-3ft all day with moderate offshore winds gusting up to 20mph offshore all day. Sunday sees slight better 2-3ft conditions pushing more towards the 3ft range with light offshore winds gusting at times but hopefully land drag will slow these winds down but still offshore.

North Coast

There has been some run of swell on the north coast hitting fan-dabby-dosey at times for those who know Andy’s reports with some of the locals having great fun. Unfortunately the run drops back to normal 2ft conditions for Saturday and smaller for Sunday in the 1-2ft range with offshore winds for the likes of East and Whiterocks Saturday and probably best at West Strand on Sunday with the winds favouring there best but winds are light so if you are keen on Sunday it will be Foamie or longboard waves only.

Surf Report for the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of March

East Coast

Things are looking very small to flat for the weekend on the east coast with no incoming swell.

South Coast

Tramore is also looking like it is going to struggle to break anywhere near 1ft for the weekend with light onshore breezes for both days.

South West

Conditions out in Garretstown are looking a little better with an 18 second period swell which may arrive late as most big swell periods are delayed by the slowing effect of the larger period. But the waves should be in the 2-4ft range and this will depend on the normal waves appearing every 12 seconds but then the set waves are on the 18 second period which could bring the bigger sets through so worth while hanging around to check. The sets could see some punchy waves come through that exceed the 4ft mark. Sunday sees a 14 second period roll though which again will bring 2-4ft conditions. Winds for Saturday are light onshore breezes and similar for Sunday with very little wind to upset the waves. Inch Beach in Kerry is showing that it should be maxed out Saturday with the waves forecast to exceed 10ft with 15mph plus winds from the south west. As there is a large period, I would be looking for the maximum amount of shelter and checking somewhere like Fermoyle strand which could have nice offshore conditions but be careful of the sets. Sunday sees the swell come from the north west but with a secondary south west swell also which could bring some chunky conditions to Inch which will probably max things out again but could have some onshore sets on the inside on the reforms.

West Coast

Lahinch is showing a pretty sizeable swell that has a touch of north in it but with the increase in the period, I reckon that this will still bend into the bay. It may appear that the bay could be small but when the 17 or 18 second period sets come through, this could well light up the bay and max it out. While it may look surfable in between, it could be once dangerous quickly. I would be looking for spots that have a lot of shelter in order to avoid these waves. Sunday looks to drop to a more reasonable 6ft wave while still carrying a 14 second period with light onshore winds from the south west. This should bring some nice conditions to the beach but beware of the set waves and for those who can duck dive, the waves will have a greater distance from front to back with a greater volume of water in the wave meaning that it will take much more effort to get under and out the other side. Tides are high at 7am and pm so leave at least two hours after and before to enter and exit the water as it is a larger high tide.

North West

Strandhill is also looking like it will be maxed out for the weekend with lots of the other spots showing large swells coming through with Enniscrone showing 6-8ft plus and with that bigger swell, I’d be avoiding going out too far. The reform would probably still be 4-6ft on the inside. Spots like Streedagh could even be pretty dumpy when it comes to the waves as it is coming in from the north west with up to 17 seconds of period meaning that more of the wave will bend in. A spot possibly worth checking would be Mullaghmore Beach which is very sheltered and with the lack of winds could have some nice waves on Saturday, possibly a little small on Sunday but worth checking as most other spots will be maxed out with another possibility being Aughris but with the swell direction, this could have a punchier wave than normal. Around Bundoran, all of the usual spots will be unsurfable so you may have to travel to check for more shelter.

North Coast

Portrush is also showing some chunky conditions for Saturday with an already large swell for East Strand of 6ft only made bigger by the 17 second period making it too chunky for most and only the very experienced should even think about donning the wetsuit. Sunday sees the period drop a little with more offshore conditions meaning it will still be a chunky 6-8ft but with the possibility of greater gaps to paddle out. If in doubt, don’t go out.

Surf Report for the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of February

East Coast

With the yellow wind warning that is passing over Ireland on Friday, there are waves on the east coast on Friday but these are also backed by a wind that is blowing up to 60mph on the gusts making for messy conditions. Saturday drops back to 1-2ft waves with the winds turning cross offshore but this has a good 11 second period meaning that it could have waves for longboards or foamies. Sunday sees the winds pick up again with waves forecast in the 3-4ft range but the winds are forecasting to be over 60mph which is bordering on dangerous conditions and with the south direction in the wind is going to leave very little shelter and messy conditions. Saturday is the much safer option.

South Coast

The winds on Friday are bring some battering conditions to the south coast which dies off overnight on Friday into Saturday with Saturday showing some lingering good swell for Tramore. Given the strong winds on Friday and the onshore winds for Saturday it is going to mean bumpy conditions in the 3-4ft but Tramore can handle a little onshore so it wouldn’t be the worst option if you are local. Sunday sees the winds pick up significantly making it too dangerous for any surfing.

South West

The winds are the main problem for Garretstown over the weekend with onshore conditions on Saturday gusting up to 23mph with the direction showing it hitting straight onshore. Waves will be overhead but blown over with the onshore winds. Sunday sees the waves and winds max out leaving no shelter and dangerous conditions. Inch Beach is maxed out all weekend.

West Coast

Lahinch is looking onshore and maxed out for both Saturday and Sunday with the winds blowing onshore on both days making for messy conditions.

North West

Strandhill is looking like it is going to be maxed out with winds blowing cross onshore making for messy blown out conditions for both Saturday and Sunday. The winds on Saturday do not favour any of the alternate spots with the amount of the west that is in the winds. Sunday could offer some small waves to the likes of Streedagh but the winds are blowing 25mph constantly with gusts up to 45-50mph making for strong conditions which could make controlling your board difficult. The swell is also picking up throughout the day so keeping a check on conditions is required at all times. In the Bundoran area it is showing that Tullan will be maxed out all weekend with just too much water moving around and onshore winds all weekend. Rossnowlagh could have white water waves but these will be messy and onshore all weekend so only for those keen to get wet but waves will not be friendly.

North Coast

On the northcoast Saturday looks like it could have some nice cross offshore conditions for East Strand with waves in the 3-4ft but with the 15 second period, there could be bigger waves between on the larger sets. Winds are blowing from 20-28mph but with the land drag you would hope that these winds might be lighter when they hit the waves. Sunday sees the winds pick up to nearly 60mph offshore making it hard to see how the conditions could be safe for surfing and also the winds blowing offshore could be strong enough to blow the swell offshore. Waves could be in the 2-3ft range but with the winds it could struggle to get there.

Surf Report for the weekend of the 15th and 16th of February

East Coast

Waves on the east coast on Saturday will be small coming off the back of a small south south easterly wind swell offering only 1-2ft of weaker waves with the winds blowing cross onshore. Winds continue into Sunday with the same direction winds blowing a small wave in the 1-2ft range but these will probably only suit lessons or foamies.

South Coast

Conditions in Tramore are showing small 2ft conditions with light cross onshore winds blowing from the south east that are light in strength but a little stronger in gusts. This should mean that the waves will have a bump and chop to them. Sunday sees it increase slightly to 3-4ft but with the winds picking up and blowing 15-25mph cross onshore winds again from the south east.

South West

Bigger conditions are on show down in Garretstown where the swell is looking to bring 4ft waves with the winds blowing moderate onshore from the south east all day. Sunday shows slightly smaller swell due to a lower period but the winds are lighter in strength but still with the gusts and from the south. Inch Beach in Kerry is showing 6-8ft waves with cross offshore winds that are a little stronger in gusts at over wimpy gusting to over emphasis but I would hope that these could be lower with the land drag as it is blowing from the south east. Sunday in Inch sees the swell drop a good bit so around 3-4ft but with the winds blowing from the south south east so more cross shore than off.

West Coast

Lahinch is looking really good for Saturday with waves in the 4-5ft range in the morning with the possibility of bigger sets on the 13 second period with the winds offshore for most of the day turning a little cross offshore later in the day for the middle of the beach but good offshores for the south end. Swell is dropping slightly towards the afternoon dropping back to 3-4ft but still with the chance of better waves with the bigger period. Sunday sees more of the 2-3ft waves with cross offshore winds all day with the winds blowing over 20mph on both days so good offshores for clean waves but take care and measure your position. Tides are high before light and after dark leaving the surf good for catching waves without tides hindering.

North West

Conditions in Strandhill are looking like they will be more in the 2-4ft for the weekend with a solid 13 second period meaning well structured waves with the offshores blowing light in the morning with moderate gusts but building up to moderate to strong offshore but hopefully the land drag will slow down some of the forecasted winds with current measures showing 20-35mph offshore for Strandhill with the swell dropping later in the day. Take care to hold on to your board when you come off the wave as you don’t want to get a board to the head. Sunday drops back to 1-2ft but with a touch of south in the swell meaning that the swell could be smaller again and struggling to hit the 1ft with winds blowing again moderate to strong offshore. In the Bundoran area it should be really nice Tullan Strand conditions for Saturday with the waves showing 3-4ft in the earlier part of the day dropping later on to 2-3ft with the winds raining from 14-20mph offshore. At that sized swell it will only be the larger sets that will make it into Rossnowlagh at 2ft. On Sunday the swell has dropped back with only 1-2ft on offer with moderate to strong offshore conditions making it hard to catch the small waves coming through.

North Coast

It is looking like it could be a West Strand only weekend with 1-2ft on Saturday with 15-20mph offshore with Sunday showing small to flat with even stronger offshore leaving no waves for surfing.

Surf Report for the weekend of the 8th and 9th of February

East Coast

Conditions are looking small and messy for the east coast with the swell coming from a north east wind that is blowing onshore bringing 1-2ft weak wind swell waves with only a 6 second period. Winds are coming off the back of onshore conditions for Friday and into Saturday morning with the onshore winds set to drop slightly on Saturday afternoon but only for a brief respite before picking up again and staying moderate onshore through Sunday. Sunday sees more of the same 1-2ft waves blown onshore with periods down to 5 seconds so really only good for lessons or kids.

South Coast

Tramore is looking small to flat for the weekend with the swell coming from the south east on Saturday with north east winds. Due to the small fetch area from the south east, this means small to flat conditions. Sunday sees the swell come from the more expected south west but just not enough to bring waves.

South West

It will be a similar story for Garretstown with very little swell showing with only 1-2ft expected but with northerly winds which will be nicely offshore, could be something there for a Foamie or longboard if you’re keen. Sunday sees similar wave conditions but the winds pick up significantly blowing from the north and north east making it hard to get into the smaller waves. Inch Beach looks to have some really nice conditions for Saturday with 3-4ft waves with possibly a little smaller as there’s a touch of north in the swell but it should be really clean with light offshore breezes so get on it. Sunday sees the offshore winds pick up to 20mph plus so ideally get out on the Saturday for the near perfect conditions.

West Coast

Lahinch should have some really nice 2-4ft conditions with light offshore breezes Saturday and a good 12 second period so could have both nice short board and longboard waves on show. Sunday sees the winds pick up and while still offshore the period does drop to 10 seconds meaning less push in the wave so Saturday is the better day but Sunday will still have a wave but possibly better for the bigger craft. Tides are high at 2pm Saturday so out of the water 12-4pm or until the waves drop off the rocks in the afternoon and high at 3pm Sunday so possibly only good for the morning up to 1pm.

North West

Strandhill should have some nice 3ft conditions with bigger on sets with the good 12 second period and nice offshore breezes on Saturday which should be good. Sunday sees the winds still light but with stronger gusts and 2-3ft waves. In the Bundoran area it should be a great Tullan day on Saturday with 3-4ft waves on peak one in by the cliff with 2-3ft waves for the rest of the beach and light offshore breezes for the day. Sunday is a little smaller at 2-3ft with the winds a little stronger gusting to over 20mph at times but all offshore.

North Coast

Around Portrush it looks like the conditions are going to be in the 2ft regions with possibly bigger on the 12 second period with winds easterly winds blowing Saturday so light cross shore conditions for both Saturday on East strand but offshore for West Strand which may pick up more of the north westerly swell and Sunday showing smaller 1-2ft waves with stronger offshore winds for West Strand Sunday.
